September Summary of Happenings and Highlights
Teacher Recognition Day is observed the last Sunday in September of each year. Pastor Bill recognized and charged all teachers, helpers, workers and church membership on the 25th in morning service. See web photos.
Memory Verses were recited by members of each Sunday School class in morning service on the 25th. Every teacher is welcomed to participate in recitation the last Sunday of each month as an encouragement to the church as we hide the word in our heart.

Disposable Sunday October 30th! The fifth Sunday focus will be to help the Kokomo Rescue Mission's need for disposable items. Paper cups, napkins, towels, tissues. Plastic wrap, foil and diapers.
The National Master's Men Department sends greetings and thanks for donations to help with costs associated with hurricane Katrina (and now Rita). There are lists to volunteer and donated needed items for the Disaster Response Team.
A Special Offering was offered on the 11th for the Master's Men group in Nashville, TN to help with emergency response expenses for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Masters Men has an emergency response team and trailer to help where help is needed
WLAC will be making noodles on October 10th at 5:30. There is a sign up sheet for donations. WLAC is also accepting donations for small personal items for those that need them.
Psalm 33:1-12 was read in service on the 11th in rememberance of the events of September 11, 2001.
Pantry Sunday will be the 1st Sunday each month to help restock the food pantry. Please bring a nonperishable item and place it in the church pantry. This ministry is very important and is a blessing to this church and glorifies God.
Silver Lake FWB is hosting an all sing on Saturday September 24th at 6pm. Come Sing and eat! It's a great time of fellowship.
Brother Joe preached on the 4th during morning and evening service. Pray for him as he walks in the will of God. See sermon excerpts in our Morning Service page.
The Red Cross donation bucket is available near the entrance of the sanctuary for hurricane relief efforts.
